Serena Williams Wardrobe Malfunction
Serena Williams Wardrobe Malfunction: player Miss Venus Williams may be a pro tennis player, but can she do the cancan?
At the French Open Sunday, the sports star’s lingerie inspired outfit got tongues wagging more than her winning game.
Miss Williams’ micro mini lace dress complete with red hot piping, not to mention her nude unmentionables, harked back to a 19th century chorus line.
As she worked hard on the court, the pro’s plunging corset threatened to slip off her chest as she flashed a pair of nude shorts.
The 29 year old pro told the Los Angeles Times that her outfit was “about illusion…a lot of my motif this year.”
She added that she tends to bring eight to ten outfits to each tournament in case she wins.
Despite her flagrant disregard for traditional tennis attire, Williams‘ game on Sunday was as professional as they come.
Not only did she eclipse Swiss opponent Patty Schnyder in fashion sense, Williams also beat the former top-10 player 6-3 on the first day of the tournament.
Despite her first round win, Williams is not a fan of the French Open.
She has lost in the third round of the last three tournaments (one of which was to her younger sister, Serena).
Despite her shortcomings, Williams has ranked at No. 2 for the first time since 2003.

Venus Williams French Open Outfit
Venus Williams French Open Outfit:Venus Williams of the US plays a return to Patty Schnyder of Switzerland during their women’s first-round match in the French Open tennis tournament at the Roland Garros stadium, on May 23, 2010, in Paris. Venus’ outfit, which included skin-tone underwear, raised some eyebrows courtside as she won in straight sets.
Venus Williams’ French Open outfit on Sunday generated more talk than her play on the court.
Williams sported a black dress with bright red trim over skin-tone underwear. The black overlay material of the dress made it appear to be see-through (it was not) and resembled a corset more than a tennis outfit. Her underwear often gave the illusion that she was bottomless (she definitely was not) and sent photographers searching for a perfect photo angle.
The fashion-conscious Williams said her look was “about illusion” and is “a lot of my motif this year.”
In a match at the Sony Ericsson Open in March, Williams wore a red, spaghetti-strapped dress trimmed with a flounce or ruffles. Williams also had to assure the media that she was not going commando at the Australian Open in January when she wore similar underwear.
As for the Americans’ tennis on Sunday? Williams rolled to a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Patty Schnyder of Switzerland, assuring that she has at least one more chance to dress to impress while in Paris.

Did Serena Williams Say To Lineswoman, “I would kill you”?
Did Serena Williams Say To Lineswoman, “I would kill you” :Working out exactly what Serena Williams did say is a little difficult for of course as soon as it started to appear on TV screens it was bleeped. So in trying to work out just what Serena Williams did say after her foot fault we need to add in a little bit from what other news sources are telling us.
Here’s one version of what Serena said:
Looking at a tape of the incident, including one broadcast on ESPN, it appeared Williams said, “I swear to God [bleep], I’m taking this ball and I’m shoving it your bleep.
Another interpretation of what Serena Williams said after her foot fault is:
“If I could, I would take . . . this ball and . . . shove it down your throat.”
There’s a certain difference there, don’t you think? Throat is not normally one of those words which is bleeped, so perhaps she was referring to some other orifice? Or maybe she modified the word throat by adding a bleeped to it?
The essential background is that Serena Williams had been cautioned for unsportsmanlike conduct earlier in the match (they might call it something else but this is what they mean). She had broken her racket deliberately on losing the first set.
Then, just coming up to match point at the end of the second set (or rather, a potential match point for Kim Clijsters, she double faulted. That set up the match point for Clijsters. However, Serena WilliamsWilliams then turned to the lineswoman who had called that double fault and let rip. Thus the penalty point was called against and as it was match point, she lost the match.
As you can see in this video of Serena William’s foot fault, it was indeed a foot fault and it was indeed the right call.

Serena Williams Foot Fault VS. Kim Clijsters
Serena Williams Foot Fault VS. Kim Clijsters: Last night’s semi final match between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters ended in bizarre fashion, as Williams received a point penalty for abusing an official. The question people are asking now though, is: What did Serena say to the official?
As reported from Newsday, Clijsters was just two points from victory, when Serena was called for a foot fault on a second serve, giving Clijsters match point in the process.
Williams then proceeded to the line judge to argue the claim, where she was thought to have yelled obscenities too, which then led to a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct.
This meant automatic loss of point, and the match then went to Clijsters 6-4, 7-5. It ended up being a very controversial taking point, to what was a highly entertaining match.
