Ewa Beach Hawaii: Countries in Asia and the Pacific, and is preparing for the possibility of a tsunami following the devastating earthquake in Chile.

At the Center for Tsunami Warning in the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii issued a warning to Ulflpin, Taiwan and Indonesia and many island states in the Pacific. A lower-level advisory issued for the North Pacific.

Along with many of the countries bordering the Pacific Ocean and the evacuation of people from coastal areas.

Sirens warned residents in the French Polynesian islands to move away from the beach to higher ground. The first waves are expected to reach the Gambier archipelago.

Australian Joint Warning Center tsunami, which laid the states east of the country on the tsunami. Officials said the high waves of up to Australia on Sunday morning and caused flooding.

New Zealand is also on alert, with officials warning of waves up to three meters. Waves are expected to be completed in Japan.

It is difficult to predict the length of a wave of a tsunami, or the exact path, even after they have hit the beach. Waves may not reach at all, or can be as high as 10 meters above sea level normal.

Experts also warn that the first waves may not be higher.

In 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami is the most destructive in history. She was born before the earthquake 9.0 on the Richter scale and was centered beneath the surface of the water near the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It killed about 150,000 people, mostly in South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Officials in the Philippines are planning for possible evacuations. The country is still recovering from last year’s storms that have caused deadly floods and landslides.

Japan alone has suffered a quake measuring 7.0 on Saturday, off the southern coast of the island of Okinawa. No injuries or significant damage to remember.
