Lorenzen Wright Found Dead:Relatives and friends gathered yesterday Lorenzen Wright, and mourned former NBA players who went missing for 10 days as police investigated the discovery of the body outside of Memphis.
Uncle Wright, Curtis Wright said police called the father of a player, Herb Wright, yesterday with the news that he had died.

Sergeant Alyssa Macon-Moore of the Memphis Police wrote by e-mail AP that police are investigating the death of an unknown man near a forest about 15 miles south of Memphis. When asked, the man Wright, she says they could not confirm the identity of the victim last night.

Jack Tatum Dies At The Age Of 61:Jack Tatum, Pro Bowl safety for the Oakland Raiders is known for his crushing blow that paralyzed Darryl Stingley in a preseason NFL game in 1978, has died. He was 61.

Date of “Murderer,”Tatum, died of a heart attack Tuesday at a hospital in Auckland, according to friend and former teammate at Ohio State, John Hicks. Hicks Tatum had diabetes in the past few years, and lost his left leg due to circulation.

Tatum also wrote a book called “They still Call Me Assassin: Here We Go Again”v 1989 and” Final Confessions of NFL Assassin”v 1996.

In the latter he wrote: “I was paid to hit, the harder the better. And I struck, and I knocked people down, and knocked people out. … I understand why Darryl is a victim. But I’ll never understand why some people look at me as the villain.”

Tatum started a charity group to help children with diabetes and helped raise more than 1.4 million dollars to fight the disease in the area of Columbus.

Tatum grew up in New Jersey, and had little interest in organized sports until high school. He loved football and was offered a scholarship to Ohio State.

Set as running back, Tatum would sneak up to the defensive midfield play. Over time, Ohio State coaches – especially the second coach Lou Holtz – acknowledged that Tatum was a natural on defense.
